whatever you wear-even if it is a robe or a nightie-
you can pull it off as a "day" look if you wear boots. eh??
because what happened was,
i found this "dress" deeply discounted at anthro.
[anthropologie is like crack to me. i get lost in there for hours and come out gasping: i can't remember my name, my mind is fuzzed-up like i just had the most romantic dream of all eternity.
beauty overload.]
it was $9.95, ok?
thats cheap.
although: i didn't really know what it was exactly.
i tried it on.
i tied the belt in a variety of ways.
i fussed with the hood.
what a peculiar little dress it was, and so it charmed me.
and i bought it.
only it wasn't until i got home that i realized my peculiar, charming little dress was in fact:
A ROBE.
a very gratuitous robe, too, because it's not warm or absorbent or cozy or anything robes are supposed to be, if you ask me.
[in retrospect i see that it looks very much like the robe that it is. but in the store, i wanted it to be a dress. a funny lil wonky spring dress. so thats what it was.]
but so i tried it with boots,
and what do you think of my theory?
boots with loungwear an outfit makes?
not sure.
only spring will tell.
