i feel this need to squeeze the rest of summer out of my wardrobe, my days, and...my wardrobe. thats why this thrift store yellowy greeny masterpiece caught my eye. nothing says summer like an almost inappropriately bright top! AND nothing says even-more-summer-than-what-i-just-said than an almost inappropriately bright top combined with candy-blue nails and hot pink strings of beads that may very well be candy themselves. [they are not. they are plastic. imagine trying to wear actual candy in this heat! death sentence.] so. pacific blue, citronella, and hot pink dahlia...are the colors of this week.
in other news, i am out-of-proportionally proud of my new easy peasy black bean soup recipe. if you love black beans [or should i say, "if you are human..."] like i do, you'll love this! 2 cans of black beans, 2 cups chicken broth, one cup salsa. thats it! heat it up and eat it all day every day, like me. nom nom.
