over a year ago, i wrote a post about perfume. [how i basically just wore eau de "soap" and rarely indulged in fragrances. within the past couple of years, i've grown to really appreciate the concept of a "signature scent".] still, i own only the scents that i wrote about, all those many months ago; betsey johnson and SJP covet.
until now!
you guys, i was not on The Lookout for a new perfume by any means, as current two bottles might outlast my days on this earth. that being said, at marshall's discount prices and with a flowery-yet-autumy scent as pretty as Jessica Simpson's Fancy: i hereby declare that i have found a new scent! a new scent for fall! a signature scent! i think there is a subtle warm, vanilla, spicy scent behind the girly floral that makes this perfect for a fall fragrance. you have got to try it! it's the best smell ever! the most worthwhile contribution J-Simps has ever made to society! [besides her christmas duet cd with ashlee...ahem]
also, i splurged on that pretty blue-glass jar of elizabeth arden night creme. do you even KNOW how well that skincare like WORKS!? oh it does. i put this on my face and neck at night and i wake up feeling clear and bright, like little butterflies kissed me awake by landing and fluttering their dewy wings on my face.
oh look, the butterflies that kiss my elizabeth arden-ed face in the a.m. have found their way onto my silly little skirt. this skirt has got to be from the 80s, i thrifted it, and it's got little cotton shorts attached to the inside. perfect for girls like me, who get all "it's my prerogative!" because it's just more comfortable to sit indian-style, even in a skirt. [no one has to look]. still, the shorts are cute and hilarous. this is the perfect skirt to cap off summer. i was not even sweating in my [literally] 8-year-old jean jacket from delias**.
look! you can see my reflection in the bottle!
i'm fancy!
**i know! delias! really! hahahahahahaha. or should i say delia*s. i could not NOT asterisk about a store that make the asterisk teen-friendly with that logo. mhm. genius.
