cargo largo

are my new pants ca-hool or shwat!

i don't normally pay so much attention to what celebrities wear.  their clothes are so out of my price range and so opposite from my lifestyle, i rarely dissect their outfits.  if i know their boots are loeffler randall, what good does that do me?  those things are like a gagillion dollars.  so i just flip through magazines for the general ideas of what people are up to.

but one time, i spotted this pic of rachel bilson in the j brand cargos, you know the ones.  they are 300 dollars and if i weren't so lazy, maybe i'd post a pic of her wearing them.  [also, if i weren't so lazy, maybe i'd be able to generate the income to justify spending 300 dollars on pants.  i'd rather read books and eat bonbons than go to med school, however.  ahem.]

anyway, i wanted those cargos.

ooo, i wanted them.  she looked so city-chic and utilitarian walking the streets in those pants.  she probably had cool shades on too, and a fringey scarf, and she was probably caring some celebrified bubble tea drink...not that i memorized it or anything.

it got to the point that every day, i was unhappy getting dressed, muttering crazy-girl things to myself like "if i only had those cargos..." and "cargos or bust!" and "if only i were on the OC too, i'd have those cargos!  in every wash!"

but i couldn't justify the price.

then i found these on amazon for 20 dollars and i felt so much better.

what a riveting story, i know!  ha.  moral: cheap versions of expensive pants eventually make their way onto the market.  you just have to learn to settle...and get in the habit of checking your fly every fifteen minutes.  [we all know cheap pants have lazy zippers.]

just about as lazy as me with my books and my bonbons, those zippers.
